What’s This?

A very important element to Instagram success is to have a cohesive feed. This can be done in multiple ways. You can use the same filter in all your images. You can also pick a particular subject and stick just to that. You can also add text to your images. You can also add a watermark or logo. No matter which of these you choose, adding a watermark to your images serves not only as a great branding tool (your viewers will always know the image is yours), but also serves to prevent (or at least make it harder) for other accounts to steal your images. The apps to add watermarks and logos listed below are super easy to use.

And don’t forget you can use Socialdraft to schedule those gorgeous images to all your social media accounts: Facebook business pages, Facebook groups, Twitter accounts, Instagram accounts, Pinterest Boards, and LinkedIn business pages.

Apps to Add Watermarks to Social Media Images

Wordswag: Available both on the App Store ($3.99) and Google Play ($4.99).

With Wordswag, you can save your logo or watermark in your photos on your phone. When you are done editing your image, there will be an option to “add watermark”. You can choose to add one as text or image. Select image, go to your photos folder and choose your watermark. It’s that simple.

Over: Available both on the App Store (free) and Google Play ($5.29).

Over app is not as easy to use as Wordswag, but it works wonders. You need to purchase the “add images” option from the “add-ons” area. When you are done editing an image, click the + in order to add your watermark to the image.

Typorama: Available on the App Store (free – but need to unlock features at $3.99).

Typorama makes things easy. You can pick a background from their library or a picture from your camera roll. Then you can choose to crop your image according to the type of post you are creating. Then the app automatically gives you text. If you don’t want text, simply bring the opacity all the way down. Then you can select your watermark which you can either select from your photo gallery or create in the app. It’s pretty simple to use and offers a ton of other goodies.

Photolayers app: Available both on Google Play (free) and the App Store.

Photolayers is ridiculously easy to use. Select the image you want to watermark as your background. Add your watermark as the second layer. Save the image to your phone’s camera roll. That’s it!
