What’s This?

If you have a Facebook fan page for your business, take heed: NO MORE PLAIN TEXT POSTS!!!

Chris Turitzin, Facebook’s News Feed Ranking Product Manager has announced that text updates will be downgraded since they don’t perform as well on the news feed. He stated that “page admins can expect a decrease in the distribution of their text status updates, but they may see some increases in engagement and distribution for other story types.”

Studies show that Facebook Posts with a single bold image get 102% more engagement than a text-only post. This is because photos are larger and therefore take up a bigger area on the News Feed making them harder to ignore. –Share Videos – Facebook recently made changes so that videos autoplay on the News Feed. Take advantage of that by adding videos to your updates before your competition does. People can’t help but see them. One note, audio does not auto play on here, so your fans will have to click the video to hear sound.   Want to Learn More Facebook Tricks?
