How to Use Your Optimizes Spring Hashtags For Instagram

use a mix of spring hashtags and brand hashtags

Combine them with Related Brand Hashtags

Elisa is smart about her hashtag use. Notice that she uses both Spring hashtags and hashtags for Candlebox. By doing this, she gives herself a chance of coming up when people search those tags. These eyes are already vetted and will be interested in her subject. It’s a great way to increase your chances of engagement.

use industry and spring hashtags to increase your chances of targeted engagement

Combine Spring Hashtags with Industry Hashtags

Heroes of Riesling knows that using only Spring hashtags won’t get them in front of vetted eyeballs. By mixing those hashtags with those that are geared towards wine and Riesling lovers, they increase their chances of reaching a targeted audience for their wine blog.

use location hashtags to come up on locaiton search

Include Geo-location Hashtags

This is a must if you are a local business or if you are targeting people in a specific location. By using location hashtags (and geo-tagging) your post, you increase your chances of being found by people who are either in that location, who are planning to be in that location, or who are generally interested in the location. Barbuto does this quite well.

Even with the drop on Instagram reach, we still recommend marketing your brand or business on the platform. Why? Instagram does not restrict you the same way when it comes to reaching out to potential customers. It’s incredibly easy to engage them into a conversation. If your business has not yet created an Instagram account, go ahead, take the plunge and establish a business profile on Instagram so that your brand is visible to another new market. Then, take a second to read this post. It’s a quick guide for absolute beginners (we’ve got plenty of advanced articles for you to read once you’ve mastered these basics).

Instagram Beginners Guide

We’ve mentioned this before but it bears repeating — Instagram is still one of the fastest growing social media platforms, with 15 times more user engagement than Facebook, and 40 times more engagement than Twitter.

1. Double tap a photo to like it.

2. Create an Instagram Business profile. You’ll hear that this decreases your engagement, but you can’t be fully in the game unless you keep score. When you create a business account, you’ll be able to:

  • Get insights on performance for stories and promoted posts
  • Get information on your followers and how they engage you
  • Add more information about your brand or business (example – hours, location, contact info)
  • Run ads and get reporting on your ads
  • Include call-to-action buttons

3. Choose an aesthetic look. This will help you keep consistent branding and increase brand recognition.

4. Make sure your images are always easy to read (clear, simple and to the point)

5. Click the raindrop to use tilt-shift focus on the photograph. What does this do you ask? This allows you to select part of your image to be in focus, while the rest is slightly blurry. This gives an edgy and unique to particular pics.

6. Use your phone’s camera to take all of your photos and then upload them to Instagram. This provides agents more control over design.

7. Use hashtags in your image captions. This groups the photo with other photos of similar themes and makes it easier for your audience to find you.

8. Once your picture is published, click the three dots under it to delete it, share it, copy the photo’s URL, or to email it to someone.

9. Respond to any comments under your photo by holding down the user’s name. You can mention the user or be taken to their profile. By doing this they will get a notification that you have responded.

10. Keep your comments area spam free. Leaving those crummy “nice pic” comments makes it look like you don’t care about your business. Besides, as you can see in the above video, it is super easy to remove spam and block spam commenters.

11. You can delete comments that you’ve left on another individual’s photos by clicking the top right-hand corner, and then clicking the red circle next to your name. Remember to take your time and use discretion to avoid needing to do this often.

12. Want to put a filter on your photos and save them to your photos? But you also do not want to publish them on to your Instagram feed? Use this trick: Put your phone in “airplane mode” and load your photos as you would normally. Your photos will be saved to the camera roll.

We’re HUGE fans of Instagram. Yeah, all those “Buy 100,000 Instagram Follower” accounts are annoying, but overall it’s an awesome platform to connect with and convert your audience. Today’s post is all about the tools that we use in-house and absolutely LOVE for Instagram management. They are listed in alphabetical order cause we didn’t want any of them to get mad.

Socialdraft

It should come as no surprise that we use Socialdraft. Our dashboard allows you to find content creators by hashtag. You can then schedule reposts of their content to all your social media sites. You can schedule posts to multiple accounts and repost Instagram content to other social networks including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn with a few clicks.

No Likes Yet

Use this one to find posts that nobody has liked yet. Why would you do this? It’s an incredibly powerful way to get people to pay attention to you and to follow you.

Hyperlapse

This app is super fun. It’s directly from Instagram and allows you to shoot long-term video and condense it into a short amount of time (like an old-school silent film). If you want some ideas on how to use Hyperlapse, click here.

Lomotif

Big fan of Lomotif. It lets you choose a video from your phone and add snippets of music to it. You can then share it on Instagram. It’s free, but to remove their watermark, you pay a small sum – totally worth it.

WordSwag

This one is my fave. You don’t need Photoshop if you have this handy app. There are tons of images you can choose from and you can add write-ups to them. It’s super easy to use too. Totally worth the $3.99.

When Instagram was purchased by Facebook in 2012, it only had 30 million users. Today, it has 400 million active users of which 60% log in on a daily basis. A  whooping 30% of all internet users are on Instagram and the network is growing by leaps and bounds. This means that internet markets would be silly not to promote their business or clients on the network. This has proven challenging, but Socialdraft has been hard at work to provide you even  more tools to help you grow a targeted Instagram following AND increase your ROI. Today we’ll discuss how to grow Instagram followers and how to better manage your time on the platform so you can get back to running your business.

Search New Posts Via Hashtags

Whenever you post to Instagram, log onto the Socialdraft social media tool and perform a quick hashtag search. These are the people who have just posted fresh content related to your post. This means they are currently online which increases the chances of them liking and commenting on your posts.  Once your search comes up on the screen, click the hearts on the images to like those posts right from the dashboard.
